Welcome to the Fishbourne Flat Fives website.
The Fishbourne Flat Five is one of the most picturesque, scenic and flat cross country races on the south coast for runners and walkers.
The race is held in Memory of Beckie and Lucy Hassell who were tragically killed in a car accident in October 2005.

Many, many thanks to all those who contributed to making the 10th Annual Fishbourne Flat Five a huge success yet again. This year, 180 runners and around 50 walkers took part. They all followed the same route around the harbour taking in kissing gates, harbour walls and boardwalks. It was great to see so many familiar faces and also quite a few new ones. It felt like a real village event. Yet again the sun shone and conditions were close to perfect as the ground was firm underfoot. It was pretty hot though and the rounds of applause and cup of water at the finishing line were much appreciated.
Over the years this race, which takes place in memory of Beckie and Lucy Hassell, has raised money for a variety of local causes. This year, the race raised money to buy staging for Fishbourne Primary School. We were delighted to be able to donate a substantial contribution to the School. We have so far raised at close of play today £ 2500 (sponsorship has not been collected yet)!
Particular thanks are due to all the marshals and helpers, to Game, Set and Match, to Chichester Runners, The Woolpack Inn and the Fishbourne Club for their generosity and support.
